Cloughey Debrillator

CLOUGHEY DEFIBRILLATOR

A new life-saving defibrillator has been installed in the former BT phone box in Cloughey village. Cloughey and District Association organised the installation through the Community Heartbeat Trust with funding from Awards for All, and it will provide emergency cardiac cover for the area. The equipment is live and is now available should anyone suffer a cardiac arrest. This service is in addition to the First Responders service on the Ards Peninsula.

Known as an "AED" defibrillator, it talks you through the process to save a life.  These AEDs have saved many lives and as ambulance response times have increased, it is reassuring to know that help is at hand.

The kiosk and defibrillator will be monitored and maintained by volunteers from the CDCA.
