Did you know?

Our team continues to grow. Simon, our in house physiotherapist has been with us for nearly a year.  Patients can self refer to Simon - just ask our reception team for an appointment.  Simon is with us on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.  He is experienced in dealing with sports injuries, muscular and skeletal aches and pains and sore backs, necks and shoulders.  He works closely with our GP team so if further help is needed or medication he can help.

Welcome also to Gillian, our Mental Health Practitioner.  Gillian brings many years of experience to the practice, can carry out mental health assessments and can help our patients with anxiety, low mood and other mental health issues.  Gillian is with us in Loughview from Wednesday until Friday works closely with our GP team if further help is needed.  Ask our reception team about an appointment.

Another exciting addition to the team is Catherine, our new Social Worker.  Catherine is in the process of getting to know our patients and coming up with ideas to benefit them.  Catherine is in Loughview from Monday to Friday.

Medication Reviews

As part of an ongoing quality improvement exercise, our clinical team are reviewing some of our patient’s repeat medication.  This is to ensure that you are on the correct long term medication and it is still of benefit to you.  As part of this process, you may be asked to book in with our nurse to have additional tests (e.g. phlebotomy or blood pressure check).  Please bear this in mind when ordering your medication as in some cases, there may be a slight delay to you receiving your prescription.  We appreciate your patience and understanding during this process.

Pre-bookable appointments

We realise that phoning at 8.30am does not suit anyone.  If your issue is not urgent, please ask our reception team about our pre-bookable appointment slots. As a result, patients will be able to phone and book an appointment up to two weeks in advance.  Initially these appointments will be for a doctor to call you, but if you would prefer a face to face appointment, please mention to our reception team at time of booking.

The majority of our appointments can still be booked using our current system.  Phone at 8.30am, give brief details of your concern to the reception team and your name will be added to the doctor's call list.  The doctor will call you and if necessary, invite you into the practice for a face to face appointment.

When you come in

When you come in, please sanitise your hands and use the automated check in.

Ordering your medication

Prescriptions can be ordered over the phone (option 2 to leave a message), by written request, online or by emailing us at reception.Z00283@gp.hscni.net
